Job summary

Gillette Children’s is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist II to join the St. Paul sleep center. The role involves performance of polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient education under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate holds a BRPT credential or equivalent, has at least one year of clinical sleep experience, and current CPR/BLS certification. The position offers .5–.9 FTE and a comprehensive benefits package in Minnesota.

Qualifications

  • Polysomnography program of at least one year or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency in required competencies.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct polysomnography and related diagnostics under physician direction.
  • Provide accurate, timely documentation and patient education during testing.
  • Operate and troubleshoot sleep study equipment and software.
  • Adhere to policies protecting patient confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with sleep team to support high-quality diagnostic testing.

Overview

St. Paul Campus: 200 University Ave E, St Paul, MN 55101, USA. Due to growth and expansion of services in our sleep center, we are adding FTE to our team at our main St. Paul Campus. As a Polysomnography Technologist II, we are offering between a .5 FTE and .9 FTE depending on your preference. Straight nights, 10-12 hour shifts, Sunday - Friday. Benefit eligible.

Position

The Polysomnographic Technologist is a registered RPSGT or RST with a minimum of one year of clinical experience in sleep. The role provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders under the direction of a physician, including polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education.

Compensation & Benefits

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $37.99 to $56.98, with a median wage of $47.49. Pay depends on experience, education, certification, licensure, and internal equity. Gillette offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement savings match, tuition and certification reimbursement, paid time off, and health and wellness benefits for .5 FTE and above. A weekend differential of $1.75, evening $2.35, and night $4.00 is available for this position.

Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a Polysomnography program of at least one year, associated with a state-licensed and/or nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and demonstrated proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association).
