Job summary

Mykelly is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a 6-month contract onsite in Florence, KY. The role requires preparing samples, performing mechanical testing, and generating accurate data for internal review.

The candidate should have a high school diploma with polymer R&D experience or a technical BS/BA, plus strong Excel/Outlook/Word skills and good communication abilities. Onsite Monday–Friday; potential for extension.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years in polymer R&D labs or BS/BA in a technical field.
• Experience in sample preparation and mechanical testing.
• Ability to generate accurate data in a timely manner.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with polymer synthesis and wet chemistry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for testing using table saw, bandsaw, router and hand sanders.
• Perform mechanical tests including tensile, flexural, Charpy and Izod, weathering, hardness and related properties.
• Accurately document observations and experimental results; organize data and write summaries.
