Hadrian is building autonomous factories in the U.S. to accelerate manufacturing for aerospace and defense.

We seek an operations and systems engineering leader to scale polymer AM production, integrate machines into the OPUS platform, and drive automation across the AM cell. You will partner with OEMs and vendors, own FAT/SAT protocols, and lead a high-performing team to deliver repeatable, scalable production.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of polymer AM operations and systems engineering experience.
• Experience in production-scale integration with OEMs and automation vendors.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of polymer AM subsystems (powder handling, deposition, recoater).
• Experience with PA11/PA12 or similar polymers is a plus.
• US citizenship or permanent residency for ITAR; travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Own polymer AM production operations including scheduling, throughput, yield, and on-time delivery.
• Lead end-to-end integration of AM machines, peripherals, and cell infrastructure into OPUS.
• Define system requirements and ICDs for cross-site scale.
• Lead automation strategy for AM cells including material handling and build volume management.
• Partner with OEMs and vendors to enable deeper integration and remote capabilities.
• Develop FAT/SAT protocols, commissioning checklists, and validation plans.
• Establish reliability discipline with PM strategies, spares, and MTTR tracking.
• Drive hardware/firmware up upgrades to improve utilization and stability.
• Own machine operation procedures, safety interlocks, and change control.
• Hire and develop a high-performing cross-functional team.
• Collaborate with Applications Eng, Materials, Manufacturing, QA, and Supply Chain.
