Job summary

STEM Search Group in Greenville, SC is seeking a senior software engineer who thrives on building SaaS platforms from the ground up. You’ll work across the stack with a small, high-performing team, choosing the right tools and languages to deliver production-grade software.

You'll apply AI development tooling in daily workflow, own backend and frontend components, review AI-generated code, and help shape the architecture as new products evolve. Hybrid role after six months with three onsite days.

Qualifications

• Experience building SaaS/enterprise apps.
• Experience with AI dev tooling (e.g., spec-driven development, agent orchestration, implementation, code review, testing, debugging, refactoring).
• Open to senior engineers but flexible based on experience and fit.
• Local to Greenville, SC; after six months, hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two WFH days per week.

Responsibilities

• Build new products, features, and platform capabilities from the ground up.
• Take ideas from early concept through technical design, development, testing, and production.
• Ship often and own the quality, performance, and reliability of what you put into the product.
• Work closely with a small, high-performing engineering team where people communicate directly, move quickly, and help each other solve hard problems.
• Make sound technical decisions based on strong software engineering and CS fundamentals.
• Work across the stack when needed, choosing the right approach rather than being tied to one language or framework.
• Use AI development tools as part of the normal engineering workflow to move faster without lowering the bar for quality.
• Review and improve code from both engineers and AI-enabled workflows.
• Help shape architecture as new products and features are introduced and the platform continues to evolve.
• Bring a builder mindset to ambiguous problems and turn them into practical, production-ready software.
