Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations is hiring for a manufacturing operator to run shredding, grinding, extrusion, and pelletizing equipment for recycled polyethylene. You will maintain 5S, feed materials properly, and ensure output targets and safety standards are met.

The role requires basic computer use, math skills, and problem-solving abilities. Overtime, holiday and weekend work may be required. Training coworkers and adapting to line changes are part of the job.

Qualifications

• User knowledge of basic computer functions.
• Problem solving skills and ability to trouble shoot process related issues in a timely manner.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for 12 hour shift.
• Ability to bend, squat, stand and pull.
• Ability to wear and operate safety equipment (earplugs and safety glasses).
• Ability to read printed data from reports, as well as computer screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate shredding, grinding, extrusion, and pelletizing equipment in the manufacturing of recycled polyethylene.
• Maintain 5S in the work areas at all times.
• Ensure the recycle line runs within safety and operating parameters.
• Keep correct scrap material feeding for proper coloration and properties.
• Ensure scheduled output production rates are achieved and reported.
• Report non-conforming product to management immediately.
• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on equipment as required and document it.
• Demonstrate good teamwork by assisting/training co-workers as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned.
• Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
