Qualificações

• Degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
• Masters degree or NY State teaching certification preferred.
• Professional experience related to the field; high school political science instruction preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials.
• Teach Regular and Honors classes with rigorous curricula.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and tests in line with procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students using learning materials and equipment.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline per school rules.
• Provide timely feedback on student work and progress.
• Record and report students’ progress and prepare required reports.

Political Science Teacher

Overview

Queens Mesivta is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced High School Political Science Teacher to become part of our team. This role requires the ability to motivate and challenge students across both standard and honors-level courses while promoting critical thinking and analytical skills. The successful candidate will play an important role in guiding students toward academic achievement and preparing them for future success beyond high school.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. Course subjects include:
  • Regular & Honors Classes: Teaching engaging and rigorous curricula tailored to diverse learners.
• Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Provide appropriate feedback on work.
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies. Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, district policies and school regulations. Prepare required reports on students and activities.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities.
• Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited college or university. Masters degree or NY State teaching certification preferred.
• Professional experience related to the field of study
• Educator with experience in high school political science instruction preferred.

Maximum Salary

USD $13,200.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $10,800.00/Yr.
