Wiregrass Georgia Technical College seeks a Political Science Instructor (VLD) to teach on the Valdosta Campus and in service-area high schools. You will prepare lessons, develop curriculum, syllabi, goals and objectives, and evaluate student progress toward them.

Responsibilities include maintaining documentation, participating in professional development, ensuring safety and compliance, meeting with students and staff, and supporting recruitment, retention and placement efforts.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Political Science or a Master's with 18 graduate hours in Political Science from an accredited institution.
• Discipline-aligned coursework and ability to teach Political Science courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students in Political Science on the Valdosta Campus and at area high schools.
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom and online instruction for credited courses.
• Develop program curriculum, syllabi, goals and objectives and evaluate student progress.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation and reports; attend development activities.
• Meet with students, staff and educators to discuss instructional programs and issues.
• Support recruitment, retention and job placement efforts.
