Job summary

Wiregrass Georgia Technical College is seeking a Health Science Core, PCA & Phlebotomy Instructor (VLD) to deliver courses across the Cook and Valdosta campuses and partner sites. The instructor will implement program standards, assess student progress, and maintain documentation and safety standards.

The role may include day or evening classes with variable hours; prior teaching experience in health sciences is preferred and background checks will be conducted per college policy.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or Associate’s Degree in Nursing or another health care profession from a regionally accredited institution.
• Three years employment experience in the field within the past seven years. Current nationally recognized organization certification in LPN or RN.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction for health science core, PCA, and phlebotomy courses on the Cook and Valdosta campuses and surrounding area high school settings.
• Evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives, including clinical performance and procedural competencies.
• Demonstrate appropriate teaching techniques and effective oral and written communication; maintain gradebooks and required documentation.
• Follow approved course syllabus and ensure safety and health compliance in training areas; may supervise clinical sites.
