Overview

• The role focuses on counseling clients regarding political and election law, with an emphasis on lobbying, political contributions, and gift rule compliance.
• Specific responsibilities include advising on lobbying registration and reporting requirements, vetting state and federal political contributions and other transfers of value, and monitoring and reporting on Federal and State legislative and regulatory developments in these areas.
• The practice group provides legal counsel to a diverse clientele, including corporations, trade associations, nonprofit organizations, advocacy groups, political committees, candidates, and officeholders.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, organization, and teamwork are essential for this position.
• An active bar license in Washington, District of Columbia, or the immediate ability to waive in, is required.
• This is a Non-Partnership Track role.
