Job summary

Valmont Industries is hiring for a Polisher in Farmington, MN. The role is a second-shift, individual contributor position in the Polishing Department, preparing finished shafts for shipment while following work instructions.

Responsibilities include inspecting materials to ensure quality, removing dents, grinding and routing as needed, and maintaining safety standards. The job requires basic math, reading prints, and ability to stand and operate machinery for extended periods.

Qualifications

• The ability to calculate simple mathematics and interpret shop drawings.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and read prints/drawings.
• Able to use close tolerance measuring instruments and read work docs.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and ensure products meet quality standards.
• Inspect aluminum shafts and evaluate condition.
• Remove dents, grind and router as needed.
• Prepare finished shafts for protection in shipment per work instructions.
• Wear PPE and work in non-temperature controlled environment/outdoors.
• Collaborate with team to maintain safety and productivity.
