Job summary

EXALTA Group seeks a Polisher to operate polishing and buffing equipment, achieving precise finishes per blueprints and specifications. The role focuses on daily polishing, set-up, and quality verification in a clean, controlled environment.

Second shift requires strong attention to detail, machine operation skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team to meet production timelines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in polishing stainless steel, titanium and aluminum preferred.
• Experience in ISO/FDA environment preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and hold tight tolerances.
• Proficient in the use of machine shop measuring tools.
• Proficient in math, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to be highly accurate with a high attention to detail.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve work issues.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and ISO & FDA regulations.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Daily polishing and heat treating of product.
• Setup and operate polishing and buffing equipment from print specifications.
• Polish instruments per blueprint, utilizing a variety of grit belts and wheels to achieve desired finish.
• Select appropriate abrasives according to material type, finished specified and steps in the finishing process.
• Grind, sand, clean or polish parts to correct defects or to prepare surfaces for further finishing.
• Verify quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them and measuring their dimensions to ensure polishing standards and blueprint specifications are met.
