Job summary

Hy-Vee in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a part-time Bakery Wrapper to ensure all display items are fresh, well-presented, and accurately labeled. You will greet customers, wrap and weigh products, and maintain an inviting bakery case with attention to cleanliness and safety.

As the final inspector before items reach the floor, you’ll support a busy bakery team, rotate stock, decorate cakes when needed, and uphold Hy-Vee policies while delivering a friendly shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Hy-Vee Food Safety program required.
• Six months or less of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bakery duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile.
• Wrap, weigh, and label product accurately and apply merchandising labels.
• Stock cases and rotate product with an emphasis on presentation.
• Serve as the final inspector of product before it is displayed.
• Assist the designer by decorating and writing on cakes in the designer's absence.
• Assist the baker with pulling product from the freezer and dropping cookies and donuts.
• Practice proper sanitation procedures and keep the work area clean and organized.
