Job summary

Prefix-Corporation is seeking a skilled part finisher to assist in post-paint finishing. You will demask and inspect parts, then finish surfaces with wax, compound, or polish as directed. The role requires careful attention to detail and the ability to work in a clean, safe spray booth environment.

You will also maintain the booth, position items in jigs, and assist with ladders as needed, with other duties assigned by the Paint Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in paint and body repair.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• A technical or industrial trades certificate is preferred.
• Self-starter with good time budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Demask finished parts and inspect for damage.
• Finish parts after painting with products (wax, compound, polish) per work instructions.
• Polish surfaces using sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax, or similar materials.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and spray booth.
• Position articles in jigs, and assist with ladders/scaffolding as needed.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Paint Manager.

Products may include wax, compound, or polish.Finish surfaces by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, compound, wax or other materials.Maintain clean and safe work environmentMaintains cleanliness of spray boothPositions articles in jigs or erects ladders or scaffoldingPerform other tasks as assigned or approved by the Paint ManagerBackground in paint and body repair with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience. A High School or GED equivalent required. A certificate from an accredited technical or an industrial trade school is preferred. Needs to be a self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time.
