Job summary

Google is hiring for a Legal Content Policy & Standards role in Austin. You will help develop and operationalize scalable policies for legal content compliance across products, handling requests from users and governments worldwide while protecting user trust and rights holders’ intellectual property.

The team collaborates with Product, Policy, Communications, and Legal to reduce risk and fight abuse, including exposure to graphic content; compensation includes equity and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• At least 5 years in policy, legal, Trust & Safety, or tech environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify trends and policy issues affecting content removals across the Americas.
• Lead cross-functional discussions on regulations and implications for Google.
• Manage content operations and escalate sensitive government requests with stakeholders.
• Develop scalable policies and guidelines for high-volume requests.
• Participate in on-call rotations for high-priority escalations.
