Job summary

Department of the Air Force Headquarters seeks an Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff Force Modernization to report directly to establish policy for Air Force strategy, mission integration, and modernization prioritization.

The role develops concepts of operations and force design, directs Title 10 wargaming, and shapes requirements for the Air Force corporate process, aligning with acquisition and MAJCOM activities to close capability gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is desired.
• A master's or advanced degree from an accredited institution is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Establishes policy for Air Force strategy, mission integration, and modernization prioritization within the corporate process.
• Develops Air Force concepts of operations and force design.
• Directs CSAF Title 10 wargaming to iterate future concepts for inclusion in the modernization plan.
• Provides headquarters operational requirements focus to MAJCOM modernization planning and MNA, and oversees capability development analyses.
• Shapes Mission Needs Statements and Operational Requirements for the Air Force structure and Joint Requirements Oversight Council.
• Translates advanced concepts into military utility by merging gaps, planning and analysis into a requirements framework and supervises SAR program requirements.
