Responsibilities

• Provide technical and professional services for policy development.
• Coordinate policy implementation and update policy websites using policy software.
• Assist in drafting and developing new policies and modifications.
• Conduct research on policy related issues and provide results to agency managers.
• Provide policies to outside counsel, other state agencies, and the public as requested (subpoena, FOIA, etc.).
• Ensure policies and forms comply with SCDC policy GA-01.01, "policies, publications, and forms".
• Ensure policies under mental health lawsuit are reviewed by the implementation panel before processing.
• Implement a policy monitoring system and manage monthly policy reviews to ensure timely updates.
• Respond to staff form requests and automate staff member system requests.
• Position requires daily contact with inmates.
