Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Legislative Aide within the Government Relations Office to help guide the flow of information supporting major policy decisions. You will work closely with experts evaluating laws affecting statewide services, and gain experience in research, legislative review, and communication.

You will perform duties including legislative research, bill analysis, policy support, and coordinating information across staff and legislative partners, with telework options

Qualifications

• One year of governmental experience, including one year of work directly related to legislative analysis.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Draft responses and research inquiries from legislative offices.
• Review proposed and current legislation to determine fiscal, program, or legal impact.
• Assist in drafting bills and relay information to the Governor's Legislative Office.
• Track bills related to Department programs and education.
• Compile legislative comments from program offices and prepare summaries.
• Help maintain contact with House and Senate offices and assist with testimony preparation.
