Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Communications Manager, Policy & Public Affairs to lead the narratives shaping how the public, press, and policymakers understand crypto.

You will own our policy communications strategy end to end, serving as the primary architect of narratives that connect crypto to financial freedom across the US political landscape. You'll manage high-stakes regulatory moments, translate complex policy into clear stories, and drive earned and digital media to influence policy

Qualifications

• 7+ years in high-stakes political communications or related fast-paced environments.
• On-the-record spokesperson experience with national media.
• Ability to drive news cycles and public opinion via digital channels.
• Deep understanding of US regulatory and legislative landscape.
• Proven relationships with Tier 1 political and financial journalists.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own the communications strategy for high-stakes legislative and regulatory initiatives.
• Partner with legal and policy teams to translate policy positions into narratives.
• Lead earned media execution with relationships to national journalists for proactive coverage.
• Drive digital communications across X and other platforms to policymakers and crypto community.
• Shape advocacy communications to highlight real-world impact to lawmakers and regulators.
• Build brand authority across election and regulatory cycles.
