What we are looking for:

  • A Policy-Product Manager to help shape trustworthy AI development by translating emerging AI policies, standards, and regulations into impactful product features.
  • This role sits at the intersection of product management and AI policy, working closely with engineers, designers, and legal experts to embed policy requirements into our platform.
  • You will identify key policy needs, define strategies, and drive execution from conception to launch.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cross-Functional Execution: Work with engineering, design, compliance, and legal teams to develop Policy Packs, controls, and evidence requirements supporting product development.
  • Market & Customer Insights: Collect feedback and intelligence to identify regulatory needs and opportunities for innovation.
  • Policy Content Development Workflow: Manage the process of creating in-product policy content from conception to legal validation and deployment.
  • Metrics & Outcomes: Define success metrics for policy-driven initiatives and assess their impact.
  • Policy to Product Implementation: Collaborate with the product team to prioritize features that operationalize AI policies and standards like the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF.

Your Experience:

  • 4+ years in AI policy, trust and safety, or compliance, preferably with B2B SaaS or compliance-focused products.
  • Experience working with legal, compliance, and engineering teams to develop policy-aligned features.
  • Analytical mindset with a bias for action, capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.

Expectations:

  • Strong knowledge of AI policies, standards, and regulatory environments (e.g., GDPR, EU AI Act, ISO, NIST).
  • Proven ability to build and launch technical products, bridging technical and regulatory domains.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex requirements for diverse audiences.
  • AI fluency or willingness to learn is required.
  • WA DC location preferred.

Bonus Points:

  • Background in AI governance, ethics, or risk management.
  • Experience with developer-facing platforms or AI/ML products.
  • Familiarity with agile tools like Jira, Notion.
  • Technical degree or hands-on experience in engineering or data science.

Compensation: The salary range is $150,000 - $180,000, determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay influenced by skills, experience, and education.

Location & Remote Culture: This is a remote role; we support in-person meetups and value diversity, equity, and inclusion.
