Job summary

TxDOT's Government Affairs Division seeks a Legislative Program Coordinator to support legislative research, document organization, project management and coordination of activities impacting policies and programs.

You will engage with state and federal policymakers, prepare analyses and summaries, and help manage deadlines while handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline required.
• At least 2 years of project, program, or legislative coordination experience.
• Valid driver's license; ability to drive a state vehicle.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor incoming legislative correspondence, reports, and materials related to administrative areas; track hearings and floor actions.
• Coordinate with staff to initiate proper action and meet due dates.
• Prepare summaries, research, and legislative materials to support state and federal affairs.
