Qualifications

• Must be a degree-seeking student at Texas A&M University, main campus in College Station.
• Major in College of Agriculture & Life Sciences.
• Preference for former interns of ANRP, PPIP, or PPSP.
• Willingness to work flexible hours for evenings or weekends.
• Strong writing and public speaking skills required.
• Comfort interacting with students, public officials, and governmental agencies.
• Ability to solve problems, act independently, and think critically.

Responsibilities

• Recruit applicants by attending career fairs, classes, student organization meetings, and other speaking events to promote the programs and recruit applicants.
• Assist students in defining career goals and steps to achieve those goals. Participate in intern interviews, trainings, and other events. Edit materials for interns (résumés, cover letters, writing samples).
• Work with spreadsheets, timelines, and program documents to coordinate internships, donors, and university departments. Prepare letters, memos, and meeting materials for stakeholders. Observe interactions with legislative offices and government agencies in multiple locations.
