Texas A&M AgriLife Research, Institute for Advancing Health through Agriculture-Project Management, seeks a Student Technician in College Station, TX. The position supports analytical chemistry and biology-related research, assisting with daily lab operations and multidisciplinary projects.

Current TAMU students in biology, chemistry, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior lab experience is required, with training provided.

Qualificações

Current undergraduate or graduate student at Texas A&M University.
Major in Biology, Chemistry, Chemical or Biological Engineering, Biochemistry, Food Science, Nutrition, Biomedical Sciences, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
Previous lab experience is required but lab specific training will be provided.

Responsabilidades

Assist researchers and lab scientists with daily tasks and workflows.
Prepare and process samples for analysis using a variety of techniques and instruments.
Perform basic lab work: weighing, pipetting, labeling, organizing samples, and logging data.
Maintain lab cleanliness and upkeep of benches, autoclave room, microscopy lab, and instrument areas.
Calibrate and clean laboratory equipment regularly.
Assist with autoclaving lab waste and sterilizing materials.
Receive and log incoming packages; prepare outgoing shipments.
Help with inventory management and restocking supplies.
Lift up to ~25 lbs when needed.
Follow SOPs and ensure safety compliance.
Contribute to an organized research environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
