Qualifications

• Strong understanding of key public policy issues, processes, and challenges facing Goldman Sachs and small business community.
• Demonstrated experience in advocacy, government affairs, political campaigns, congressional offices, or related roles. Experience covering policy is a plus.
• Highly motivated, takes ownership of portfolios, works well independently and in a team.
• Energetic, strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Undergraduate degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Support legislative engagement, regulatory, and small business advocacy efforts across the firm's offices.
• Help establish Goldman Sachs as a thought leader in financial services and small business spaces by promoting initiatives like 10,000 Small Business Voices.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the northeastern region and with alumni, congressional offices, consultants, and teams.
• Collaborate to deliver events, surveys, research, and newsletters to inform policy initiatives.
• Prepare briefing memos and brief senior executives for engagement with policymakers in the U.S. and internationally.
• Follow and analyze policy issues as they advance through governmental bodies.
• Organize and drive data management and impact metrics in Salesforce, Excel, Quorum, and advocacy platforms.
