Job summary

The ideal candidate has a strong public policy background, advocacy experience, and exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Quorum, and Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of public policy issues and processes affecting Goldman Sachs and small business.
• Experience in advocacy, government affairs, political campaigns, or related roles. Policy coverage is a plus.
• Highly motivated, ownership of portfolios, ability to work independently or in teams.
• Energetic, strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Quorum, and Salesforce.
• Undergraduate degree required.

Responsibilities

• Support the firm's legislative engagement, regulatory, and small business advocacy efforts.
• Help establish Goldman Sachs as a thought leader in financial services and small business policy initiatives.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the northeastern U.S. region.
• Collaborate to deliver events, surveys, research, and newsletters informing policy initiatives.
• Prepare briefing memos and brief senior executives for engagement with policymakers in the U.S. and internationally.
• Follow and analyze policy issues as they advance and assess impact to the firm.
• Organize and drive strategy for data and impact metrics using Salesforce, Excel, Quorum, and advocacy platforms.
