Qualifications

• This is a demanding role at the intersection of policy, relationships, and execution.
• At least 5 years of experience in science policy, government affairs, or legislative strategy.
• Direct experience engaging with executive agencies or congressional staff on S&T issues.

Responsibilities

• Track, manage, and advance priority PE projects with clear accountability and timelines.
• Support high-stakes meetings with congressional staff and agency officials.
• Manage timebound projects using agile approaches and flexible staffing.
• Draft and coordinate policy memos, briefs, and other actionable materials.
• Identify policy windows to mobilize FAS's rapid response capacity.
