Job summary

Xcel Energy invites current students to join the SPS Policy Team in Amarillo, TX as an intern focusing on CCN filings for Texas and New Mexico. You will help develop data, maps and affidavits for regulatory filings and support materials for SAE, 440 and MBA across Texas and New Mexico.

Typical duties include researching CCN policies, preparing supporting documents, and managing large data sets for Regulatory and SME teams.

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher as of Fall 2027.
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a related degree.
• Hybrid in-person work policy required commuting to Amarillo location.

Responsibilities

• Research policies and rules in New Mexico and Texas for CCN filings.
• Assist in preparing maps, tables and charts for SAE, 440 and MBA.
• Manage large data files for Regulatory and SME teams.
• Review, edit and format draft documents for filing.
• Assist in online filing of documents for Commission review.
