Job summary

Xcel Energy is seeking an internship with the PSCo Regulatory team to support energy policy work. The role emphasizes independent research, report writing, and managing small projects with a focus on policy analysis and internal/external briefs.

Ideal candidates are current students in Environmental policy, political science, or related fields, available for full-time summer and part-time during the school year, and able to commute to a designated Denver-area work location under a hybrid policy.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher (as of Fall 2027)
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in Environmental policy, political science, law, public relations, government relations

Responsibilities

• Evaluation of state policies regarding resource adequacy, large customer load, generation procurement, transmission and distribution development, and customer programming
• Development of research reports for internal and external audiences
• Administrative support on projects related to energy policy, new infrastructure development, and customer programming
