Job summary

SMBC Group invites a seasoned Data Governance Policy Compliance VP to join the Americas Division in a challenging, fast-paced environment. You will lead the rollout of the Enterprise Data Governance Framework, focusing on policy adoption, controls performance, and regulatory responses across group entities.

Reporting to the Head of Data Governance, you will coordinate with data officers and stakeholders worldwide, drive transformation projects, and guide enterprise-wide governance principles

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Data Governance or policy compliance in finance.
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Support and coordinate enterprise Data Governance policy adoption and compliance across SMBC entities.
Develop and implement enterprise-wide Data Governance policies, standards, and controls.
Interface with Data Officers and stakeholders to ensure data roles/responsibilities are understood and followed across regions.
Assist in remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback related to Data Governance.
