Job summary

A technology services provider in Michigan is looking for a Control Engineer to prepare installation MOPs and verify cloud environments. The candidate should have strong experience with PCRF tools and 5G Core Network Architecture. This mid-senior level contract role offers compensation between $150,000 and $160,000.

Qualifications

Experience with PCRF tools such as Nokia Policy Controller and Cisco PCRF.
Strong understanding of 5G Core Network Architecture & Call Flow.
Experience with Cloud Networking and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Prepare the installation MOP & deployment artefacts for application.
Verify cloud environment and perform installation.
Perform rollback procedure for failed installations and conduct RCA.

Skills

Experience with PCRF tools

Strong Nokia PCF/PCRF or Cisco PCRF/PCF experience

Strong 5G Core Network Architecture & Call Flow

Strong Cloud Networking and Kubernetes

Familiar with operators and policy control systems

Responsibilities

Prepare the installation MOP & deployment artefacts for application
Verify cloud environment (image, flavor, network, etc.) and perform installation
If the installation is not successful, perform the rollback procedure as defined in the MOP and conduct a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for the failure
If the installation is successful, perform the health check of the system and ensure all applications are performing correctly
Integrate the application with other peer nodes as per the deployment

Required Skills

Experience with PCRF tools (e.g., Nokia and Cisco Nokia Policy Controller, Smart Plan Suite, Nokia PCRF, Cisco PCRF/PCF, Cisco Quantum Policy)
Strong Nokia PCF/PCRF or Cisco PCRF/PCF experience
Strong 5G Core Network Architecture & Call Flow
Strong Cloud Networking and Kubernetes
Familiar with operators and policy control systems such as Ericsson, Huawei, Amdocs, Openet, ZTE, Affirmed Networks, Mavenir, Net Number, TITAN policy functions
