Talent Acquisition Specialist - Telcommunications, IT & Emerging technologies

Location: Appleton, WI (100% Onsite, 5 days/week, 8 AM – 5 PM CST)

Job Description:

As part of the router build and integration team, you will be responsible for:

Provisioning Cisco and Nokia routers (including IXRE Si0 Series 7750) in a complex mobile network.
Building configuration files and integrating routers into the Verizon network.
Collaborating with field engineers to bring sites online.
Performing transport circuit testing (fiber validation).
Troubleshooting configuration and performance issues.
Managing work orders via internal Verizon tools like Fuze (prior experience not required).
Supporting router upgrades and circuit migrations.

Must-Have Skills:

Strong Cisco router background (CCNA preferred).
TCP/IP and OSI model understanding.
Knowledge of transport architecture.
Hands-on experience with router provisioning and telecom switching.
Basic computer skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with Ciena and Ericsson AMOS.
Previous Verizon Wireless switch or network support experience.
This role is not field-based – no physical installation is expected.
No scripting or work with legacy switches (5VSS or DMS) is required.
Wireless experience with Cisco preferred; enterprise-level experience also acceptable.
