Job summary

San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) seeks an Educational Policy Analyst to develop and oversee strategic communications for district policy initiatives. The role involves responding to inquiries, coordinating cross-department outreach, and serving as a spokesperson as needed.

Ideal candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with Google/Zoom/Microsoft Suite, and the ability to engage with diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred
• Two years providing direct assistance to individuals in a social services, legal, government, or community-based setting
• Strategic leadership and management experience in a K-12 public educational setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communications plans to support policy and district initiatives
• Respond to inquiries from constituents via municipal or State offices and manage casework communications
• Monitor issues, analyze trends, and support district responses
• Disseminate up-to-date information to public and elected offices about SFUSD policies
• Provide case management support using district systems and protocols
• Collaborate across departments to plan surveys, meetings, and outreach
• Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating meetings and talks
• Serve as district spokesperson as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
