• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism or related field.
• 8 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications or public affairs, incl. 3 years supervising professionals.
• Substitutions: advanced degree may substitute one year; experience may substitute degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an integrated communications and marketing strategy.
• Advise leadership on messaging, public engagement, and reputation management.
• Oversee crisis communications planning and rapid-response protocols.
• Lead media relations and serve as spokesperson for the department.
• Coordinate press conferences, public announcements, and outreach events.
