Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience.
  • One year of relevant work experience in state/local/federal government or a public policy organization.
  • Familiarity with elections administration policy preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor relevant policy developments at the state, federal and international levels related to the interests and objectives of the various constituent groups supported by the Policy Analyst.
  • Conduct research on innovative local, state and federal policies and programs; analyze and synthesize findings for policymakers and the public.
  • Develop and write reports and other research products that are highly relevant to policy deliberations and easily understood by the public, media and policymakers.
  • Collaborate with Communications staff and external writers on reports and research products.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and convening meetings by arranging speakers, topics and logistics for state convenings.
  • Participate in efforts to plan and execute policy workshops, webinars, and state visits for officials and staff.
  • Assist with grant and proposal development and with knowledge base expansion on policy topics.
