Job Description

ECS is seeking a Policy Analyst to work in our Stafford, VA office.

Responsibilities:

  1. Review, analyze, and draft correspondence, memoranda, white papers, and supporting documentation on legal issues affecting IT databases.
  2. Assist in the development of operational procedures affecting IT databases to ensure compliance with current federal and state laws, regulations, and case precedent.
  3. Collaborate with government stakeholders and provide program and analytical support to areas of program oversight.
  4. Monitor legislation and cases related to IT databases to identify potential impacts.
  5. Develop written work products and manage documents throughout their lifecycle.
  6. Draft presentations on legislation and cases for stakeholders.
  7. Review materials for compliance with laws, regulations, and case law for dissemination to stakeholders.
  8. Develop methods to gather relevant information for program planning.

Required Skills:

  • Active TS clearance or ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, or related field.
  • At least five years of legal analysis and drafting experience.
  • Strong legal and legislative research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and manage discussions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, and other legal research tools.
  • Public speaking confidence.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations related to IT systems.
