The Management Orders and Directives Section analyzes, reviews, proposes and publishes Department Policies and procedures and maintains the Department Manual (Patrol Guide), Administrative Guide, Detective Guide and Organization Guide. The Office of Management Analysis (OMAP) is the research and assessment arm of the Department, comprised of both uniform and civilian members of the service with a wide variety of academic and professional experiences. OMAP conducts analyses aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the Department. OMAP is seeking a qualified candidate to perform the duties which include, but are not limited to: - Analyze and make recommendations regarding ongoing computerization of Department filing systems. - Assist with maintaining the Department Manual, design and production, as well as authorized destruction of Department forms, reports and other records. - Respond to inquiries from Department units regarding current or historical Department directives. - Respond to legal processes relating to Department policies and procedures. Candidates should have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe lndesign.
