Public Health Solutions is looking for a Policy Analyst to serve as a liaison with key stakeholders at the NYC Health Department. This role involves identifying policy changes related to public health preparedness and response.

The selected candidate will be an employee of Public Health Solutions, a nonprofit organization which is the fiscal and administrative manager of the grant but will work at the NYC Health Department and have a NYC Health Department supervisor. This is a grant‑funded position.
The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response (OEPR) enables the NYC Health Department to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies through coordination of agency‑wide emergency preparedness planning, training and exercises, and regular engagement with communities and partners in city, state, and federal government. OEPR also prepares the city’s vast health care system to respond to emergencies.
OEPR’s Bureau of Healthcare and Community Readiness builds local capacity to respond and recover from disasters through engaging healthcare and community partners and applying science to inform research and policy that impacts the communities we serve.
We are hiring a Policy Analyst to serve as OEPR’s primary liaison with the Health Department’s Bureau of Government Affairs and other key stakeholders. The Analyst will identify policy and legislative changes related to public health preparedness and response.
