Town of Gilbert is seeking a proactive Police Service Aide to manage the police fleet, install and service equipment, and maintain vehicle readiness. You will ensure vehicles are properly equipped and stocked, coordinate repairs, and manage inventory of consumables to support patrol operations.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year coordinating vehicle repairs, and knowledge of police equipment.

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of motor vehicles and police equipment is desirable.
• Experience coordinating repairs and maintenance of vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile computer systems and basic functioning.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure new police vehicles are equipped and functioning before service.
• Evaluate daily repair needs and schedule repairs with vendors or Fleet Division.
• Coordinate transportation for vehicle maintenance and prioritize for patrol operations.
• Maintain inventory of equipment in vehicles.
• Assess when to disable police radios during repairs.
• Determine cost-effective special equipment for police vehicles and communicate findings to management.
• Prioritize work and communicate status to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
