Job summary

The Willits Police Department seeks a Community Services Officer II to support law enforcement services, with backup for Administrative Services tasks. The role requires flexibility for day, swing, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

As a journey level, non-sworn position, the CSO II will handle reports, evidence management, parking programs, subpoenas, and citizen communications while working under the Police Sergeant and Chief's confidential duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; POST/STC 832 PC course.
• Minimum six months as CSO I; or one year in public contact work, preferably in law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Greets callers and visitors; screens inquiries; takes messages.
• Investigates and prepares reports on incidents and property.
• Transports prisoners; provides clerical support; maintains evidence.
• Maintains logs and property records; handles warrants and subpoenas.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
