Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a South Carolina Class 1 law enforcement officer.
• Minimum of three (3) years of service with Sullivan's Island Police Department.
• Valid driver's license and all required certifications.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in high-stress situations.
• Strong leadership, supervisory, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Supervises police officers and directs shifts.
• Serves as Shift Commander when assigned.
• Manage incidents, major calls, and field operations.
• Review reports for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and equipment readiness.
• Maintain professional relationships with public and agencies.
• Prepare administrative documents and attend trainings.
