Summary:
Under direction, performs protective work by supervising a staff of police and security officers; responsible for planning and directing security operations shifts. Trains and supervises personnel, conducts safety inspections, identifies potential security issues, and provides corrective advice. Ensures communication of directives and information from the Director to all shift personnel, and performs other duties as required.

Qualifications
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Professional Experience: Three years of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer preferred.
Licensure/Certification: North Carolina driver's license and Basic Law Enforcement Training Certification from the North Carolina Department of Justice, Division of Standards and Training are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, and effective verbal and written communication. Experience with computer software related to business and medical fields is preferred. Knowledge of police administration, staff management, equipment management, and security systems.
Work Environment: Climate-controlled indoor environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions and extreme temperatures; potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens requiring protective equipment.
Physical Requirements: Active work involving office tasks and patrolling, with visual acuity for surveillance systems, ability to communicate clearly, walk, stand, climb stairs, and exert physical effort up to 100 pounds occasionally. Requires good vision and the ability to handle various physical activities.
