NOTICE: This is a promotional position and is only open to current SPO/MPOs of the Athens-Clarke County Police Department who meet minimum requirements.
SPOs and MPOs who meet all other minimum requirements and have been in their position with ACCPD for a minimum of one year will be allowed to participate in the Assessment Center. Upon successful completion of the Assessment Center and completion of two years with ACCPD at the rank of SPO or MPO, those candidates will be placed on the eligible list for Sergeant.

The purpose of this job is to provide exemplary leadership associated with and assisting in directing the overall operation of the Police Department at the unit, shift, or squad level.
