The City of Gainesville is hiring a Records Clerk in the Gainesville Police Department to support records maintenance, NCIC/FCIC workflows, and public records requests. You will type quickly, organize files, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
You will interact with city staff and the public, maintain accurate records, and learn to coordinate with the City Attorney’s Office. Training in NCIC/FCIC and Notary licensing is provided during the first months.

This is clerical work in the Gainesville Police Department records section. Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated supervisor and work under close supervision. Work in this class is distinguished from other classes by its emphasis on records keeping.
