METRO is seeking a dedicated Records Specialist to manage police data efficiently. The role involves collecting, processing, and maintaining police records while ensuring compliance with safety procedures. A strong candidate will possess excellent communication skills and experience in data entry, preferably within a law enforcement environment.
Responsible for collecting, processing, entering, reporting, filing, evaluating and maintaining of all police data under a restricted and secured environment. Also responsible for ensuring all information entered into the specialized database is complete, accurate and in accordance with appropriate guidelines. Perform duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.
Responsibilities and Specific Duties
Pay Range : $40,100 - $51,600
Education Requirement
High school or GED required.
Years & Experience Required
Minimum three (3) years' experience in a records / data entry environment. Experience in a law enforcement environment preferred.
Knowledge & Skills Required
Good communication (written and verbal) skills. Knowledge of Uniform Crime Report (UCR) codes preferred. Good working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook. Must complete and pass a Criminal Justice Information System fingerprint-based background check.
