Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Five years in local government administration, at a division manager level or higher.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Background check including polygraph.
• Veterans’ DD214 documents must be attached if claiming preference.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, manages, and supervises department operations and major initiatives.
• Manages staff; delegates, trains, and evaluates employees.
• Sets goals and oversees programs and projects.
• Oversees budget development and monitoring within approved limits.
• Conducts research and presents reports for decisions.
• Assists in personnel actions and bargaining processes; prestigious confidential work.
