Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform law enforcement patrol activities.
• Operate a motor vehicle observing public compliance with laws and safety standards; pursue and stop offenders, using force where appropriate.
• Issue citations and make arrests; search property; transport detainees and property.
• Mediate disputes; conduct crowd and riot control activities.
• Conduct law enforcement investigations; protect crime and traffic scenes; interview individuals; prepare reports; present testimony in court.
• Respond to citizen requests for assistance to fires, accidents, and crime scenes; administer first aid as needed.
