Responsibilities

• Patrols an assigned area by car, motorcycle or on foot to observe and report suspicious activities; arrests in accordance with laws.
• Responds to routine and emergency calls to protect life and property and enforce laws and codes.
• Investigates crimes and incidents; collects, preserves and presents evidence; interviews victims, witnesses and suspects; prepares investigative reports.
• Directs traffic and issues citations or warnings as needed to regulate vehicle flow at emergencies or congested places.
