Responsibilities

• Safely operates department vehicle in normal and emergency situations.
• Responds to calls for service and assists supervisors as directed.
• Conducts initial investigations of criminal activity and traffic incidents.
• Preserves crime scenes and collects evidence.
• Prepares detailed reports of investigations and daily activity.
• Maintains knowledge of criminal and traffic laws and regulations.
• Engages with the community and aids motorists as needed.
• Maintains equipment and uniforms in good condition and represents the department professionally.
