Job summary

Ogden City Police Department seeks a lateral police officer to join the sworn ranks in a full-time, non-exempt capacity with benefits. The role offers step-based pay within the established scale and eligibility for benefits.

Applicants must be 21+, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and hold or obtain a Utah driver’s license. POST LEO I/II certification or an associated degree is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old at appointment.
• Training equivalent to twelfth grade is required.
• POSSESSION OF, OR ABILITY TO OBTAIN, A VALID UTAH DRIVER'S LICENSE.
• POST LEO I/II certificate or related associate degree preferred but not mandatory.

• Must be currently or within last two years employed as a Peace Officer.
