Our department serves a mixed rural/urban community in Montgomery County with CALEA accreditation since 2017. Specialty assignments include K-9, School Resource Officer, SWAT, and more, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Entry Level requires OPOTA certification
• Lateral transfers considered
• Hiring bonus up to $5,000 for officers with 3+ years full-time experience
• Probation period bonus of $2,500 after probation
• Additional $2,500 after two years of continuous service

Responsibilities

• Enforce laws and ordinances to maintain public safety
• Patrol assigned areas to deter crime
• Respond to emergencies and provide assistance
• Conduct investigations, gather evidence and make arrests
• Write detailed incident reports
• Provide traffic control and enforce traffic laws
• Assist with crowd control at public events
• Collaborate with other agencies on operations
