The City of Richmond Police Department is recruiting a Police Officer Cadet (Non-certified) in Richmond, Texas. The cadet will stay in this role until finishing the Police Academy and earning the TCOLE Basic Certification, at which point they will become a Police Officer (P-1).
Introductory Period of one year begins after academy completion and certification, per City policy. Candidates must meet all stated qualifications and pass the selection process.

A cadet position, the incumbent will remain in this position until the successful completion of a "Police Academy" and attainment of the TCOLE Police Officer Basic Certification. At that time, the incumbent will move the Police Officer (P-1) Rank.
*In accordance with City Policy, the Introductory Period will begin following the successful completion of the academy and attainment of TCOLE Certification, and it will last for a period of one year.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to be licensed as a peace officer in the state of Texas.
Must possess a current valid Texas driver's license.
